Hosea 14 Describes a Modern Church Service

It is safe to say that you will probably never find this interpretation anywhere in the world but here. (I chose the NIV translation of this verse because it did the best job of translating the passage. The KJV was very close to it; even better than many modern translations.)

Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” (Hosea 14:2)

The first phrase says, “take words with you.” What do people do when they go to church? They take their Bibles with them. Printed words.

The next phrase says, “Say to him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously.” What do people do in church? They say, “for give my sins.” This is done through the grace of God, the Gospel.

The next phrase says, “that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” What is the fruit of our lips? Praise and worship!! Notice that we first get right with God, then offer our praise and worship.

So you see, this passage predicts that in the future when the children of Israel will become Christians, as many of them have.

I did not need to know Hebrew or Greek to see this in the text, I just needed to be open to seeing what has never before been seen. Thinking outside the box and figuring things out is my skill set.
